// October 19, 2015

Are you ready for another adrenaline rush at 2016 Dinagyang Festival?

January – the atmosphere is now filled with enthusiasm for this year’s most anticipated tourism event – Dinagyang Festival! The dagyang fever has once again gripped the metro and if you’re planning to visit Iloilo City, prepare your itinerary and fill your calendar with the most jam packed festival in the Philippines.

Aside from the metro’s fine dining and street food, there will be food bazaars this January. There will be a food festival and street party at SM City Iloilo Parking Lot on January 22 to 24, and a three-day (also on January 22 to 24) food bonanza at Delgado Street sponsored by Iloilo Hotel Resort and Restaurant Association (IHRRA).
Never forget to visit our local pasalubong stores – take home to your family and friends the crunchy biscocho, piaya, pinasugbo and barquillos. Experience our very own La Paz Batchoy, Pancit Molo, and of course the famous manok nasal.

As a cultural and a religious festival, events in Dinagyang also include the city’s devotion to Senor Sto Nino. Visit the San Jose Church at Plaza Libertad and together pray the Santo Nino Novenas starting on January 11.

Be prepared to be amazed as Iloilo City paints the night sky with its beautiful fireworks display. The “Luces in the Sky” is an annual fireworks display competition held at the carpark area of SM City Iloilo. Take the best spot and watch the colorful display of lights this January 22.
